Jon was in desperate need for a new kitchen in his North Fitzroy home in Melbourne. As you can see from this “before” photo the kitchen was old, the brickwork made the kitchen not only look dark but also very dated and tired. The brief of course was to make the kitchen space much brighter and incorporate the kitchen space into the adjoining open dining/living space. The Zesta Richmond Team set to work to transform this kitchen space …
and created this masterpiece – Wow!
Our professional kitchen designer Joe Attard from the Richmond Showroom designed this amazing kitchen transformation. The owner’s brief of a light filled space was definitely achieved and still keeping with the style of the home. This streamlined versatile kitchen with the cleverly placed walk in pantry in the corner is perfect for this couple’s home.
What began as a renovators delight provided an opportunity to create a well utilised design and layout to suit any family and certainly this couple love it. In fact, Jon has remarked it is a perfect place to sit at the end of a hard day with a nice glass of vino, whilst your partner cooks up a storm. This pleases Joe who worked closely to create this perfect kitchen and the kitchen space worked well because he has an “ear for listening” Jon reports.
The detail of the Qualia white gloss kitchen and modern appliances all ensured the design was perfect in every way. The addition of the slimline handles create the seamless flow throughout and to the adjoining dining/living area.
We love the cleverly designed standalone breakfast bar of YDL Bianco Gental benchtop with the overhang so the bar stools tuck neatly underneath, providing an easy thoroughfare to the living zone. Notice the attention to detail with the timber moulding at the base to match the flooring – true attention to detail here. Jon has often commented “it is a delight to walk into this bright sunny room now” and loves cooking in his new kitchen. The touch of black with the overhead pendant lights and roman numeral clock set off this kitchen dining area – another “perfect kitchen”.
